PROMISING INDIAN SOCIETY

Setting up Open Gym in Public Parks

Promising Indian Society is committed to promoting health, fitness, and overall well-being by creating accessible spaces that encourage active lifestyles and community engagement. Recognizing that access to fitness infrastructure is often limited for economically disadvantaged communities, the organization works to establish open gyms in public spaces where individuals of all ages can engage in regular physical activity free of cost.

The initiative focuses on transforming public parks and community spaces into inclusive fitness hubs equipped with outdoor exercise equipment that supports cardiovascular health, strength building, flexibility, and overall wellness. These open gyms not only promote healthier lifestyles but also encourage social interaction, community participation, and greater awareness of physical fitness.

As part of this initiative, five Open Gyms were established in Ahmedabad West, Gujarat, benefiting approximately 7,000 community members by providing free access to fitness facilities in underserved urban areas. The programme was further expanded through the installation of five Open Gyms in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, creating accessible exercise spaces for 5,000 rural residents and promoting physical activity at the grassroots level.

Through the Open Gym initiative, Promising Indian Society continues to foster healthier communities by making fitness infrastructure accessible, encouraging preventive healthcare, and creating public spaces that support active and healthy living for all.
