Project NIR is a flagship initiative of Promising Indian Society focused on improving access to safe and clean drinking water in underserved communities. The programme was launched in response to the growing challenge of water contamination and its impact on public health, particularly among vulnerable populations who lack access to reliable sources of potable water.

Through the installation of advanced Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Purification Systems, Project NIR provides communities with access to clean and safe drinking water while reducing the risks associated with waterborne diseases and contaminated water sources. The initiative also promotes community participation by creating local opportunities for the operation and maintenance of the systems, ensuring their long-term sustainability and effectiveness.

As part of the programme, high-capacity RO Clean Drinking Water Systems were established across various districts of Gujarat, providing safe drinking water access to more than 100,000 community members. By addressing a critical public health need, the initiative has contributed to improved health outcomes, enhanced quality of life, and strengthened community well-being.

Through Project NIR, Promising Indian Society continues to advance sustainable solutions that improve access to essential resources and create healthier, more resilient communities.
