Creating Livelihood Through Desktop Distribution
To address the lack of access to digital learning resources among economically disadvantaged youth, Promising Indian Society implemented a desktop distribution initiative aimed at strengthening digital literacy and career readiness. The programme focused on providing unemployed and aspiring young individuals with the technological tools necessary to develop computer skills, access online learning opportunities, and improve their employment prospects.
As part of the initiative, 100 desktop computer systems were distributed to unemployed youth in Dibrugarh, Assam, enabling them to transform their homes into personal learning spaces. By providing access to technology and digital learning resources, the programme empowered beneficiaries to build essential digital competencies, explore career opportunities, and enhance their readiness for a rapidly evolving job market.
Through this initiative, Promising Indian Society continues to promote digital empowerment and create opportunities for youth to build sustainable livelihoods through education, technology, and skill development.
